Sein Grab befindet sich in dem Ort Arcata. - Provenienz 2.: Z.P. Adamsson (Namenszug von alter Hand auf dem vorderen Spiegel; nicht identifiziert). - Stärker berieben und bestoßen; durchgehend fleckig (teils stärker); teils etwas wasserrandig, teils etwas angerändert. Der vordere Vorsatz mit Spuren kindlichen Spielens mit einem Monogramm-Stempel und Stempelfarbe. Die obere Ecke der Seiten 5/6 fast abgerissen. Trotz der massiven Schäden nicht ohne Charme. --- Unidentified atlas of James Wyld the younger and Nathaniel Rogers Hewitt. The atlas contains a total of 45 colored maps and a table of the comparative height of mountains. It lacks sheet 47 (length of rivers). 26 of the maps were originally produced for an unidentified older Wyld/Hewitt atlas and bear wrong numbers or no numbers at all. - The atlas is in rather poor shape (pronounced wear to the boards; foxing and staining throughout (partly massive); some water staining; some minor damage to the margins; the front end paper with massive traces of a child playing with an old monogramma-stamp; pages 5/6 with an almost torn upper corner. Despite the massive defects not without charm.
