First edition of these recollections about Napoleon and his times by the general Anne Jean Marie René Savary (1774-1833) who received the title duke of Rovigo in 1808. - Just light minor foxing in places but quite clean, just a little rubbed, spines with old paper labels (partly gone) and title with an old red stamp from a German aristocratic library (von der Leyen) with their coat of arms.
