Mit schönem, radiertem Exlibris von Carl Viol, gestaltet durch Elsa van Doesburgh. Einband leicht berieben und mit Wurmspuren am Vorderdeckel, Rücken etwas rissig und mit Fehlstelle am unteren Kapital und Einriss am vorderen Außengelenk (ca. 2 cm), Vorsätze und Reihentitel etwas leimschattig, Seiten leicht gebräunt und gelegentlich etwas stockfleckig (vorwiegend Ränder betroffen), Faltkarte mit zwei Randeinrissen (ca. 5 cm, davon 2 cm mit Bildberührung). Insgesamt gutes Exemplar. Leather binding of the times with rich gilt embossed book decoration on spine, gilt embossed title on a red leather label on the spine and red sprinkled edges. With Carl Viol's beautiful, etched bookplate, designed by Elsa van Doesburgh. Binding slightly rubbed, front cover with wormhole, spine a bit fissured and with smaller defect near the tailband, front joint with tear (approx. 2 cm), endpapers and half-title bookbinders glue shaded, pages slightly darkened and occasionally a bit foxed (mainly margins affected), folding map with two tears (approx. 5 cm, of which 2 cm enter the image). Altogether good copy.
