Old cardboard with the original printed labels Probably the first English edition of the recollections of Lady Craven (1750-1828) who published several novels and plays as well as an accout of her travels in the Levant. In 1791 she married the Markgraf Karl Alexander von Brandenburg Ansbach and accompanied him into his self chosen exile in England. The two lithograph frontispieces show her with her son Keppel Craven and the Margrave. There was a German translation the same year as well as a Paris imprint.

Bemerkung:

- Only the first and last leaves with some foxing, else clean, bindings rubbed and with small repairs to the spine, but solid, else nice, uncut.
