Original wrappers with printed label Early edition of the recollections of Lady Craven (1750-1828) who published several novels and plays as well as an accout of her travels in the Levant. In 1791 she married the Markgraf Karl Alexander von Brandenburg and accompanied him into his self chosen exile in England. The two lithograph frontispieces show her with her son Keppel Craven and the Margrave. There was a German translation the same year as well as one London imprint.

Bemerkung:

- Only the first and last leaves with some foxing, else little spotting and mostly clean inside. Completely uncut and in the first wrappers as sold at the time.
