Vorsätze und Vortitel blass braunfleckig, Frontispiz rückseitig gebräunt. Fußschnitt und ca. 3 untere Blattränder etwas berieben, Kanten teils gebräunt. Seidenhemdchen jeweils mit Abklatsch. Gutes bis sehr gutes Exemplar. English language edition. With 52 plates in b/w, one of them as frontispiece. Original cloth binding with gilt embossed title on spine and cover as well as gilt upper edge. Cover lightly rubbed, one small spot. Endpaper and half title lightly foxy. Sheet of the frontispiece darkened on the backside. Lower edge and appr. 3 lower magins of the sheets lightly rubbed, lower margins on them slightly darkened. Thin protective sheets of the plates each with a poor copy. Nearly fine copy.
