Bemerkung:

1866 edition of Valentines Manual. With a total of 18 maps and plans and plates (frontispice, colored-title, 3 fold out plans, 2 plates with facsimile signatures, 11 chromolithographical color plates - of which 3 are folded plates). There seems to be a wide range of opinions as to the total number of plates this edition should have. The present maps and plans are positioned next to pages: 3 (frontispice and title), 48 (2 folding plans and 2 facsimile plates), 75, 178, 482, 640, 656, 688, 712, 736, 760, [766], 784, 808. In addition to these there are numerous woodcut text illustrations (including some full page illustrations). - Pronounced wear to the original boards; the end papers teared in the joint; the colophone with a handwritten note; the fold-out plan next to page 766 torn and in dire need of restaurational attention. Otherwise a good copy.
