Edited by Carl Ludwig Fernow (1763-1808) whi had lived in Rome from 1794 to 1803 and then received a chair for philosophy in Jena through the help of Goethe. The first edition with less notes came out in 1809. - Pretty bindings from an aristocrat library, both volumes with an engraved armorial bookplate with the initials AB and a greyhound jumping to the left.
