Einband leicht berieben. - The fourth edition of A World bibliography of bibliographies, which extends to 1963, sets out some 6562 volumes for Asian and Oceanic subjects, a vast number indeed, but the bibliographical activity of the past decade has naturally kept pace with political developments, and the number of additional volumes now recorded, published down to 1973, amounts to 4471, so that the total has increased by some 68 per cent. In addition, well over a hundred titles in WBB4 have been modified in some way, usually to indicate continuations. It is remarkable that only one title has been removed, as it appears to be a ghost.
