Beschreibung:

circa 7,3 x 10,3 cm., 4 coupons. printed on both sides, stamp to the left blank space when sold Four vouchers that could be exchanged for postage stamps for an unregistered priority airmail letter of up to twenty grams sent to another Universal Postal Union (UPU) member country. The idea was that the recipient of a letter who was asked for a reply should not have to pay for stamps. As it was difficult to purchase stamps from foreign countries the UPU introduced these coupons. Here there are two that were purchased in Bexhill on Sea and two in Newcastle on Tyne, all from 1965. The text on the front is in English and French, on the back in German, Arabic, Japanese, Spanish and Russian.
