He will therefore not be able to follow the invitation for the following Tuesday by Westmacott - possibly the sculptor Richard Westmacott the younger (1799-1872) who was elected Fellow of the Royal Society in May 1837. - Charles Kean (1811-1868) was the son of the actor Edmund Kean and an important actor in his own right. - This autograph is from an important collection in Tegernsee. In the old portfolio with notes by the collector who bought this letter february 22nd 1926 in Paris from Simon Kra for the equivalent of 5 Marks. He added a small engraved portrait of Kean.
