Auf dem Beiblatt / On the supplement: A Portfolio of 6 Rock Dreams by Guy Peelaert in numbered and signed editions limited to 500 with 30 artisti prints. Screenprinted by Dietz Offizin, Lengmoos Germany in August-November 1973. The Screens were destroyed after the edition was completed. Each prints is 57,5 cm x 74,5 cm. Elvis P. is printed in 32 Colors; Eddie C. is printed in 38 Colors; K.R. is printed in 36 Colors; G3 is printed in 39 Colors; Sam C. is printed in 28 Colors; Janis J. is printed in 29 Colors; Guy Peelaert, November 73. - The prints are in the original plastic folder. It is very likely that this edition has only few prints or that most got lost. Folder slightly abrased, pages clean and good. Günter Dietz was student of a master class at the Staatliche Akademie für graphische Künste in Leipzig. As a result of his studies on techniques for reprinting artworks he developed the so-called Original-Dietz-Replik. This is a procedure for the authentic reproduction of pictures where the very same original colors used by the artist are applied instead of the standard print colors. / Die Drucke sind in der originalen Kunststoffmappe. Exemplar-Nr: 58. Es ist zu vermuten, dass von der Editon nur sehr wenige Exemplare angefertigt worden sind. Die heutige Firma Dietz GmbH konnte die damalige Produktion in Bezug auf Auflagenhöhe, etc. nicht mehr nachvollziehen. Die Mappe ist etwas berieben, die Blätter sind gut und sauber. Günter Dietz war Meisterschüler der Staatlichen Akademie für graphische Künste in Leipzig. Er beschäftigte sich mit allen Techniken zur Wiedergabe künstlerischer Arbeiten, deren Ergebnis die heutige, sog. Original-Dietz-Replik ist. Es ist ein Verfahren für die authentische Wiedergabe von Bildern, wobei nicht die üblichen Druckfarben, sondern dieselben Original-Farben verwendet werden, die auch der Künstler verwendete. Guy Peellaert (1934 in Brüssel; 2008 in Paris) war ein belgischer Illustrator, Comiczeichner, Künstler. Der "belgische Andy Warhol". Die Grafiken sind jeweils signiert. Folio
