Contemporary decorated wrapper First edition of this biography of the mathematician and astronomer Joseph-Louis Lagrange who had died the same year april 10th 1813. The author Cossali highlights his contributions to analysis, number theory, mechanics etc. At the end there is a longer bibliography that names also the shorter essays by Lagrange which were published in various yearbooks.
