Later (18th cent.) boards IT/ICCU/BVEE/013972; Gamba 1622. Venetian edition of the poems of Berardino Rota (ca.1509-1574) from Naples. "Ebbe cura di questa edizione Dionigi Atanagi, che la dedico a Gio. Girolamo Aquaviva, duca d'Atri..., al quale scrive, che il Rota e stato osservatore delle regole della lingua si religiosamente, che se elle fossero perdute si potrebbero di nuovo perfettamente cavar da lui." - Here two parts in one volume, both second editions, first published separately in Naples in 1560. The second part with a new title-page dated 1566. Some copies are also bound with a third part "Poemata" (not mentioned by Gamba, not present here). - Of special interest are the "egloghe pescatorie", poems of the fishermen in Naples with parts about the Vesuvio, the beautiful little places outside Naples, one poem in celebration of Vittoria Colonna etc..

Bemerkung:

- Minor browning little staining, first title with older inscription, few annotations, few ink stains, only the last leaves with some waterstaining, else mostly clean, rubbed, spine browned.
