Large and very carefull reply by a congregation of jesuits under Jean Nicolas Grou (1731-1803) who respond to the "Extraits" that had been publishes in Paris in 1762 by Roussel de la Tour and others. They go through the accusations line by line and show how in many occasions quotes had been distorted and documenty falsified. - Here a pretty set with the 10 parts bound in 8 gilded vellum bindings.
