circa 21,6 x 14,4 cm., 39 pp.. In newer marbled boards Rare contemporary funeral oration dated "avirl 1793" for King Louis who had been executed january 21st that same year. The unidentified author says that he is a man of letters, not of the Church, but he has read the classic funeral sermons of Bourdaloue, Massillon, Bossuet and Flechier and his motivation is mainly the love for the late king. The speech also touches on many points of critique against the Ancien regime like the inequality which he tries to defend and put into perspective.
